An Endless Writing

Hear my stand... My very stand...

I usually keep things like these in my mind and to myself, but I can't take it anymore. I guess, since I am so fed up with dumb and stupid news (that alarms everyone!) like the infamous Gloria-gate scandal, martial law and coup attempts. Come on, give us a break! It really pains and saddens me everytime I read or hear by a mere cahnce what Ninoy Aquino said that the "FILIPINOS ARE WORTH DYING FOR"... But, come to think of it, are we still worth dying for? I mean, look at the events that are happening in our country. It pains me. Ok, I admit, Im only 16 years of age, and a college freshman. But since we live in a democratic country, where everyone is free to speak their minds.... I guess, Im free to speak and voice out my opinions too.
I personally think, that some or maybe all political leaders are blinded by power and abuse. Why? Well, it's almost a lot of months when the COMELEC declared PGMA as the President of our country, and yet, now, come June 2005, a person came out and accusing PGMA of being a cheater. C'mon, why didn't they did it even before PGMA was declared? Are they blinded? Or perhaps, afraid? Have we forgotten that we are fortunate enough to be in a country who allows and permits its citizens to vote? Where do those votes go? Instead of voting for the right people, we tend to vote people who are of historical political clans. Wevoted some wrong persons who promised us progress and success. But come to think of it, what happened to us?
Unemployment, corruption, crimes, poverty, hunger, even the lack of good and quality education and nonstop oil price hike... Is this what we want? Do we want our future leaders, the young generation right now, to suffer?
Some of us, may swear and curse people who are in to the Nursing fad careers now. But did we think this would happen if we voted the right person? Can you blame the people who take up and Nursing and decide to work abroad? All we wanted was a progress in our life, but when will we have it? After 48 years? Huh. That's too long. Come to think of this, the South Koreans once admire us. They once look up unto us, way back when theier country was poor. What did they do? Well, simple...
a)they set aside their personal ambitions... (uhmm... power...)
b)they worked hard
c)they stopped depending on other countries
d)they LOVED and HELPED each other.

So when are we going to set aside our personal ambitions? When will we stop depending on other countries? When will we love and help each other? I personally think, our country is going down. What we need is an immediate action. Starting from the impeachment, voting new and righteous leaders, and working harder and even hardest so as to experience what the people in South Korea are now.
If we wanted to, we can. Again, this is my stand:

GLORIA, RESIGN OR SEE YOUR FELLOW FILIPINOS SUFFER

Filipinos, now is the right time to solve our social and political problems!!!

coz if we dont...
